Feldman Scholarship '24 - '25

About this scholarship

The Dr. Larry and Avis Feldman Scholarship — formally the Dr. Larry and Avis Feldman SGA Scholarship — is funded by Dr. Larry Feldman, MBSHS Class of '68, and his wife Avis. The award honors a college-bound Beach High senior who has dedicated time to the Student Government Association and to service in the school and broader community.

Dr. Larry Feldman, an MBSHS Hall of Fame member, has given decades of service to Miami-Dade County Public Schools. He served the education community as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and region director working with the multi-culturally and economically diverse communities throughout Miami, as well as a three-term elected School Board Member where he presided as Chair. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of the MBSHS Alumni Association.

This scholarship is preferably awarded to a first-generation college-bound female graduate who has served in the Student Government Association and has a record of service to the school and community, and who is endorsed by the school's Activities Director.
