Known as the “Teacher to the Stars”, Hall of Fame member Jay Jensen was a two-time University of Miami alumnus, drama director at Miami Beach Senior High School from 1959 to 1991 and much much more. He taught some of the entertainment industry’s major stars including Beach High alums Andy Garcia and Mickey Rourke. Jay Jensen’s life was dedicated to his students by providing a legacy and love of the theater through the memories and passion he left behind for all of us to share. He was inducted by the Miami Beach Senior High School Alumni Association into the first Hall of Fame class in 1999.
