This scholarship is given in memory of Hall of Fame member Donald Martin Klein, Class of '58, and perpetuated by his classmate, Linda Widrich Weitz.
About Donald Martin Klein
Donald Klein was born in Newark, New Jersey on April 13, 1940 before moving to Miami Beach as a young child, and spent the rest of his life in the Miami area. He graduated from Miami Beach Senior High and continued on to graduate cum laude from Harvard University with a BA in Economics. He attended law school at the University of Miami, where he was also the editor-in-chief of Law Review, and passed the Florida Bar in 1965. He was a professor at the University of Miami School of Law from 1970 to 1972. Donald had been a partner in the law firm of Kline, Moore & Klein since graduation from law school, joining his father's firm, and was a long-term Board member of Spectrum Programs, Inc., among the oldest and largest non-profit substance abuse treatment agencies in South Florida.

This scholarship is awarded to a senior in the Debate Program or the Arts.
