He has argued over 450 civil and criminal cases in federal and state appellate courts, including eleven cases in the Supreme Court of the United States. In the 2000 Presidential election litigation, he was counsel in the Supreme Court for the Palm Beach County Canvassing Board in Bush v. Palm Beach Co. Canvassing Bd.
What Hall of Famer and longtime faculty member played football at the University of Florida, and was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers, where his professional football career was cut short due to a series of injuries? It was shortly after this that he made a move to Miami and began an illustrious career as a teacher and a coach. In 1971, among other lofty awards, he received the Coach of the Year Award and the Key to the City of Miami Beach.

He also earned honors as an all-star football player while serving in the U.S. Marines. He played semi-professional football with the Miami Barracuda's and was named "All Conference" as both a defensive end and linebacker. He also founded the MBSH "Coaches Club" to benefit disadvantaged athletes.
What Hall of Famer from the faculty had a career which spanned over 5 decades, and was known as "The Teacher of The Stars"? Among his numerous students were movie actors Andy Garcia, Mickey Rourke, Neal Gold, actress Annabelle Gurwitch, movie directors Brett Ratner and Sara Sackner, rapper Luther "Luke" Campbell, sportscaster Roy Firestone, executive producer Heather Winters, music composer Desmond Child, casting director Debra Zane, musician and record producer David Chesky, and artist Romero Britto.
What Hall of Fame member from the faculty earned her three Master's Degrees at the University of Miami, in reading, counseling and guidance administration. She was one of the first counselors in the Miami-Dade County school system. In 1990, the school's Gymnasium was dedicated in his name, as he led championship teams and received numerous honors, both athletic and educational including the Florida Athletic Coaches Association, inducted into their Hall of Fame in 1981.
What Hall of Famer from the Class of '62 escaped Nazi Germany with his surviving family at age 4, became a prominent national attorney, defended John D. Ehrlichman at the "Watergate" trials; his litigating and negotiating help create new laws to protect US citizens worldwide, paving his way to win cases against Iraq (after Gulf War One), Libya and Sudan. He successfully represented each family of the 17 sailors killed from the attack on the USS Cole.
