Alumni Authors Beach High Book Club
The Alumni Authors Book Club is a MBSH student-initiated service project that is promoted by the Alumni Association to inspire reading, advance literacy, and publicize the numerous global authors who are alumni of our beloved alma mater. We would have loved to have MBSH alumni in attendance at our inaugural event held on Monday, June 3rd at 5:30 PM at MBSH.
The event featured Ms. Rosa Lowinger, author of the memoir “Dwell Time,” and a proud MBSH Alum!
Ms. Lowinger immigrated to Miami with her Cuban-Jewish family from Havana following Castro’s rise to power. Dwell Time explores Ms. Lowinger’s family history, their struggles with adapting to life in Miami, and her own journey building a career as an art conservator.
